On Saturday, September 24, 100 organizations employees and their friends joined in celebrating 40 Illinois businesses as they celebrated their centennial achievements.
In the 27th Centennial Celebration event, the Illinois State Historical Society hosted and presented awards at the Executive Mansion in Springfield.

William Furry (right), the Illinois State Historical Society (ISHS) Executive Director, Dr. John Wilhelm (middle), and an ISHS Associate (left) hold the certificate of centennial recognition.
The ISHS did not discriminate against profit margins in this celebration as they awarded every business that had survived through the ever-turbulent last century. The Infant Welfare Society of Chicago is honored to be among the many who say that they have weathered the storm and are still thriving.
IWS looks forward to serving the community for the next 100 years. Come on by for a visit!
