July Twentieth

July 20th, 2006

We began to lay the groundwork for the stategic planning process which will begin in September.  The initial tasks for our staff are to identify the demographics of our patients (ages, zipcodes); look at the numbers and types of visits over the past three years; compare our service mix to that of similar clinics; determine the revenue and expense of each service; list what qualitymeasures are being used for each entity (clinical and administrative); show the trends in development over the past three years as well as the increases and decreases in both revenue and expenses.

This information with be the basis for forecasting what we will or should look like in three to five years.

Greetings!

I am Dr. John Wilhelm, the executive director at the Infant Welfare Society. I came to this position last July after being on the Board of Directors for 12 years. It has been a very busy and successful year.

I am pleased to have the IWS Blog. I believe it will help to keep us informed and vibrant as an organization.
